The PPWP-A manual pushbutton is an activating and signalling device for the “Fire protection power switch”, whose task is to cut off the power supply to all circuits, except for circuits supplying installations and devices, the functioning of which is necessary during a fire. It should be used in fire zones with volume exceeding 1000 m3 or containing explosion hazard zones. Cutting off the power supply of the fire switch cannot cause the automatic switching on of the second source of electricity, including the power generator, with the exception of the emergency lighting source, if it occurs in the building.
The PPWP-A manual pushbutton should be placed near the main entrance and marked appropriately.
This button is a type A directly operated button (i.e. it is activated automatically after breaking the glass). In terms of the electrical system, it can be classified as a simple switch equipped with electrical passive elements operating in the alarm condition signalling circuit. The supervision state is indicated by a red LED, while the active/alarm state, after glass breakage, is indicated by a green LED. Depending on the connection method, the LED signalling can be powered by 24V AC/DC or 230V AC. The switching member contains two contacts. The Y contact is open in the supervision state and closed in the alarm state. The X contact works inversely.
